The Tulsa World Ad

Some weeks back a good friend asked if we’d be open to appearing in a Tulsa World ad campaign. As our local paper has been a terrific one stop shop over the years for all my local news I thought it would be a nice way to “give back” to them (and, yes… earn some publicity in the process).

The ad appeared for the first time yesterday (818 Kb, PDF). And, as you’ll see, our daughter took command of the spotlight.

I hope your local paper is as good to your local businesses and philanthropists at our World is.

    The fact that the placement of the “ad” was near a hot movie must have given sight-time to viewers. Yes, it seems that people who read the paper take a little more time and scan other areas – quite different from people walking in a mall bombarded with print ads or TV ads that are more like blipverts (remember Max Headroom?). I hope to hear great news from Grocio!

    I’ve mentioned your award to at least 6 people so far and each person said they saw your article or interview and thought your business was a great idea! The word is definitely on the streets!

    With the internet age/cell phone age plus rising food prices, I think this business will take off for the moon! Go for it!!!
